The Flash, Vanish: TGW, and More Comics!
I recap the announcements for The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, Vanish: The Golden War, and more!
Hey friends! It’s been a busy couple of weeks, so I thought I’d give an overall update on some new projects and news that dropped. I’ll dive into each one individually in the coming weeks, but here’s a quick rundown!
The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive
I’m so happy to announce that I’m teaming up with Ricardo López Ortiz, Juan Ferreyra, and Jason Howard to tell a prelude story to the new upcoming movie The Flash.
Here’s the promo first issue cover by artist Max Fiumara:
This series follows Barry Allen between the events of Justice League and the new film as he discovers his powers and really grows as an actual superhero in Central City.
Each issue is a 38-page one-shot story, which gives us tons of room to tell fun and unique adventures with this version of the scarlet speedster.
You can read more about it here on the DC Comics website:
Vanish: The Golden War
Another big piece of news is that the super-talented artist Ryan Lee and I are teaming up to do a spin-off Vanish series for Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman via KLC Press. This new series called Vanish: The Golden War is set during WWII and features new characters inspired by Golden Age superheroes.
We recently did a livestream talking about the project, which you can watch here on YouTube:
I’m so excited to be working on something with my friends on this scale. We get to help flesh out a brand new universe that they created with big action that only KLC can provide.
Fearless — Bookfairs
I’ve also been getting a ton of messages about upcoming Scholastic book fairs. Some regarding appearances (which I’m mainly doing virtually right now) and others about details regarding the book Fearless that I worked on with Zach Wilcox.
If you are someone who loves all-ages stories about growing up or know a middle-schooler struggling with changing friendships, pick up a copy of Fearless at your book fair or at any local bookstore!
Until Next Time…
I’ll be doing some expanded posts on each of these topics, but look forward to more announcements and comics coming soon!
Keep it wizard,
Kenny
